Project Long Thanh International Airport has a large scale, is very important for socio-economic development, security – defense; When completed, it will create a strong driving force for the development of Dong Nai, the provinces of the Southern Key Economic Zone and the whole country.

Given the importance of the Project, the Prime Minister decided to establish a Government Steering Committee to direct the implementation; The Steering Committee must achieve the following basic objectives: The project progress must be completed by 2025 in accordance with the National Assembly’s Resolution and the Prime Minister’s Decision; The quality of the Project must be put first, commensurate with the scale of being an important national work, with high requirements on quality, architectural design and landscape; Against negative waste; save investment costs.

In order to implement the Project to meet the progress and quality, the Head of the Steering Committee asked the members of the Steering Committee, the Ministry of Transport, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province and relevant ministries and branches to continue to try and focus on maximum in the work of direction and administration, absolutely no loss, waste, negativity.

The Steering Committee is responsible for reviewing and urging the implementation progress, investment procedures to ensure timely, quality control; maintaining monthly briefings in accordance with the Operational Regulations with specific and detailed contents.

The investors closely coordinate with local forces (defence, police) to ensure absolute security and order during the construction process.

The Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Construction and members of the Steering Committee organized field trips, grasped the situation, encouraged officials and employees on the construction site, and proposed to the Head of the Steering Committee according to the field of management. .

By April 30, 100% of the land area will be handed over to phase 1

Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee mobilizes the participation of the whole political system in site clearance work, well implements propaganda and mobilizes people to comply with compensation and resettlement guidelines and policies. ground delivery. With Project Component 2, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation urgently deploys survey and design work (completed in June 2022) to carry out the next works, ensuring construction completion. construction and equipment supply by the end of 2024.

For Project component 3 (including the most important work items of the Project):

+ ACV actively cooperates with the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Construction to ensure the design approval schedule of the passenger terminal in July 2022 and start construction in October 2022; Start of the runway in December 2022.

As for the Component 4 Project, the Ministry of Transport is responsible for organizing the implementation of the works, ensuring the completion progress, and synchronous testing with the project’s component projects.

Timely guide and promulgate prices of fuel and raw materials

Regarding the price of construction materials, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Finance and the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province promptly guide and promulgate prices of fuel and raw materials according to their competence and according to regulations.

The calculation of traffic demand connecting Long Thanh International Airport should be based on a long-term vision when fully exploiting the capacity of 100 million passengers/year. The Ministry of Transport will soon study and expand the route freeway Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay, along with roads under construction (Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City) ensure to meet traffic demand. connection, no congestion occurs.
