Galaxy S23 could bring a big surprise

According to a new report from Korea, Samsung may use the processor MediaTek in Galaxy S22 FE and Galaxy S23. Up until now, the company has only used Exynos and Qualcomm processors in its high-end phones. If the report is accurate, this will be the first time the company has switched to MediaTek processors for its flagship smartphone series.

It is still unclear which MediaTek chipset will be used in the Galaxy S23 as the Taiwanese chipset maker has not revealed its flagship chipset for 2023. For the Galaxy S22 FE, Samsung could use the Dimensity 8100 processor. or Dimensity 9000.

The report adds that the Galaxy S22 FE and Galaxy S23 devices sold in Asia will use MediaTek processors. That means Samsung can still use Snapdragon processors for its other products.

Is this the first time Samsung has actually given up on Exynos and its own chipset company? Does that also benefit MediaTek? Did this really happen? Only time will tell how accurate this report is.

On the other hand, Samsung Foundry is trying to make the 3nm GAA chipset manufacturing process come next year and is expected to bring great efficiency. It is also reported that the next flagship Exynos chipset will use the 3nm GAA process.
