Huynh Lap talked about his childhood, when he was going to join a bingo group, but his mother chased him and prevented him from doing so.

“During my schooling, when I participated in art, I was invited by my parents all the time, so my parents were shy and didn’t want to let me do these things. I set up a group of friends to film ghosts at school. When my teacher caught me, I went to another school to film. After filming, I quietly went back to post-production, editing the movie for 2 hours with a basic software. I contacted a milk tea shop, sold tickets for people to watch movies, but teachers called the police down and criticized me under the flag. That day, I was really stuck, I didn’t understand why I had to do it.”

In order to fulfill his dream of dedicating to the arts, after graduating from high school, the male artist hoped to enter the HCM City School of Theater and Cinema but did not pass. Not giving up, Huynh Lap studied Multimedia Communication at another school and fell in love with the group DamTV.

The process of building a name with millions of views from zero of juniors makes MC Quyen Linh emotion.

With the slogan “Dare to think – Dare to do – Dare to accept”, the DamTV team released the first clips that were shot clumsily, without a plan, without professional knowledge and with little budget. He said: “In order to have money to make those clips, we had to abstain from food and clothing. At that time, we were very brave, as long as the context was to shoot without researching or planning.

That time when I went to Thac Mai, I almost died there because I did not know how terrible the terrain of the waterfall was. We were naive, naive, very stupid that day, but we were “burning” with all our heart for what we do, we like it.”

Around 2014, Huynh Lap and DamTV group emerged to become a cult YouTube filmmaking group, becoming a network phenomenon everywhere. Currently, the group still maintains a good relationship with the members, but no longer produces products but focuses on their own careers, which many people regret.

“That day I just started practicing on the art path, but I didn’t have many opportunities to experience. As long as it’s art, I’ll do it all, I’ll do makeup for the guys filming and taking pictures in small groups; do more lighting, I do any position” – male artist confessed.

“In the past, I always burned with my best, so that art always came first. After many events happened, what I try the most now is for my family. After paying filial piety to my parents, I gave up everything, my family and I just wanted a peaceful life. I’m scared of today’s society. I am very different now than before, I am no longer as lively, agile and noisy as before. Now that the camera is pointed at me telling me to say something funny, I can’t do it, my mouth seems to be frozen and I can’t say anything.” – Huynh Lap choked to express.

He said he would give up after paying filial piety to his parents, just wanting a peaceful life.
