The first smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip will soon launch in China
According to a source from the supply chain, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset will launch earlier than expected, as early as June or as late as July.
The first devices equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will launch in China, but it is not clear from which manufacturer. One of the rumors is the OnePlus 10 Ultra, but that device could also use Dimensity 9000 or use the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip as the OnePlus10 Pro.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process and will likely be very similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but with slightly higher clock speeds. The upgraded version will also be a bit more expensive than the regular chipset, it is unknown if phone manufacturers will increase prices for products running Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip or not.
Rumors suggest that Qualcomm will launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ in May.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset is a popular choice of many smartphone brands at various price points. Currently, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a popular chipset on high-end smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S22, OnePlus 10 Pro and Xiaomi 12.
