Establishing 10 humanitarian corridors in Ukraine

This was announced yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.

Among the above humanitarian corridors, there is one that is intended to facilitate civilians leaving the fighting area in Mariupol by private means.

Tens of thousands of people are still trapped in conflict zones and are without electricity and few supplies of essentials, local officials say. They are in need of evacuation and humanitarian aid.

On April 7 alone, more than 4,600 civilians were evacuated from Ukrainian towns and cities.
