Data from the National Administration of Tourism shows that, in the first quarter of 2022, the number of international visitors to Vietnam reached 91,000 arrivals, an increase of 89% and domestic visitors reached 26.5 million arrivals, an increase of 58% over the same period in 2021.

Recorded every day, the booking platform Vntrip receives from 3,000 – 4,000 calls to book hotels and air tickets. About 20,000 bookings have been closed by guests from April to September…even though the airfare for many days in the high season is about 40% higher than weekdays.

Tourists prefer self-sufficient travel combos because of their attractive prices, free schedules, and can take the initiative to travel by car.

According to the survey, beach resorts account for more than 60% of tourist routes. Quang Ninh, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Nang and Vung Tau are up to 90% full in two days April 30 – May 1. The closer to the holiday, the more tourists buy tours, it is expected that next week, the number of tour bookings of travel companies will reach 70-80% of the plan.
