Ho Chi Minh City collected more than 55 billion VND in port infrastructure fees after nearly 10 days

On April 10, Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterway Port Authority (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport) had a quick report on the results of 9 days of operating the port infrastructure toll collection.

Accordingly, from 0:00 on April 1 (the time when Ho Chi Minh City begins to collect fees) to 24 hours on April 9, more than 35,250 businesses registered to pay fees with the number of nearly 59,000 declarations, corresponding to nearly 89 billion VND. Of which, 3,704 declarations were canceled (equivalent to more than 14.8 billion VND).

The total amount of receivables is more than 74 billion VND but just collected more than 55 billion VND. On average, the Port Authority earns more than 6.1 billion VND per day.

In which, revenue from import and export goods opened declarations outside Ho Chi Minh City was the largest with more than 27 billion VND; import and export goods declaration in Ho Chi Minh City is more than 16 billion dong; goods temporarily imported at export, goods stored in bonded warehouses, goods in transit, goods transshipped… collected nearly 12 billion VND.

During the operation, the port authority received 13,552 calls to the hotline for support and guidance.

The port authority has assessed that the toll collection system has been operating stably and smoothly so far to ensure that businesses participating in the operation of the system.
