Koreans flock to see cherry blossoms

South Korea’s capital Seoul is entering the cherry blossom season, which usually lasts until the end of April. Due to the development of the COVID-19 epidemic, the annual cherry blossom festival was not held. Even so, many people still flock to famous places in Seoul, including Bulgwangcheon Stream, to see the cherry trees in full bloom.

Mr. Moon Jung-Hyun – Student, 23 years old shared: “This is my first time going out in a long time. I came to meet and eat with my high school friends. It’s been almost three years. then I couldn’t go out to see the cherry blossoms.I think the easing of the restrictions by the government certainly made us feel a lot more comfortable, both physically and mentally, and I think that’s why. why there are so many families and couples here today.”
