The average number of new infections recorded in the past 7 days was 42,928 cases/day, down 54% compared to the previous 7 days average.
From 17:30 on April 9 to 17:30 on April 10, the whole country recorded 19 death case. The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days was 30 cases, a decrease of 28% compared to the average of the previous 7 days.
The total number of deaths in Vietnam so far is 42,813.
The number of seriously ill patients being treated is 1,403, down 41% compared to the average of the past 7 days. In which, 978 cases of mask oxygen, 188 cases of HFNC high-flow oxygen, 55 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation, 180 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation, and 2 cases of ECMO.
On April 9, an additional 64,501 doses of vaccine were injected, totaling more than 208.5 million doses.
In the fourth wave, the number of domestic infections is more than 10 million, of which more than 8.5 million have been declared cured. Five provinces and cities recorded high cumulative infections: Hanoi 1,522,262, Ho Chi Minh City 601,886, Nghe An 415,171, Binh Duong 381,599, Bac Giang 374,531 cases.
