According to the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense, in order to register for recruitment in the Military Schoolcandidates must meet the criteria on 4 contents: Political background, age, culture and health.
In 2022, there are 17 academies and officers’ schools enrolling 4,742 training quotas for cadres at the university level. To enroll in military colleges, only the Air Force Officers School recruited 80 candidates nationwide to train professional and technical aviation personnel.
There are 15/17 military schools with enrollment in the whole country. Particularly, Army Officer School 1 recruits candidates from Quang Binh province to the North, Army Officer School 2 recruits candidates from Quang Tri province back to the South.
The enrollment method is implemented according to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, organizing a general exam, high school graduation exam, taking the results to consider the recognition of high school graduation and admission to universities and colleges. .
The difference when applying for admission to military schools is that candidates are required to go through pre-qualification. The pre-qualification is carried out right at the military admissions committee at the district, town or provincial level where the candidate has a permanent residence. The pre-qualification period is implemented from March 15 to the end of May 20.
In which, the time of pre-qualification medical examination for candidates is organized into two phases: Phase 1 in the third week of April 2022; the second phase in the 2nd week of May 2022. After completing the second examination, if there are still candidates registered to participate, the pre-qualification committee will continue to examine the pre-qualification until the end of May 20.
When the high school exam results are available, candidates can still keep their wishes to the school that submitted the application for admission or adjust the school in the group of schools.
Candidates for military university training include both men and women. In which, there are 3 academies that can recruit female students: Military Technical Academy, Military Medical Academy, and Military Science Academy. Specifically: there are 30 training targets for military medical doctors at the Military Medical Academy; 24 training targets in the fields of: Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications, Biomedical Electronics, Optical Weapons, Geoinformatics at the Military Technical Academy; 8 targets for training in English, Russian, Chinese languages and international relations at the Academy of Military Sciences.
