According to the indictment, in 2021, the investigative agency of Khanh Hoa Province Police received a denunciation from Buddhist monk T.D.T., Mr. TQD and Tran Van Duc, accusing Tran Minh Toan of using the website. Social networks slander, insult honor.

During the investigation, the investigating agency determined that the team established and managed 2 Youtube channels, Toan Tran Chennel and Toan Tran Official.

Defendant defended the activities of the self-proclaimed Tinh That Bong Lai (later renamed Thien am on the edge of the universe). Therefore, Math used his 2 Youtube channels to attack and humiliate those who have views that condemn Tinh That Bong Lai.

Through the assessment, the Department of Information and Communications of Khanh Hoa province determined that in 15 videos from 2 Youtube channels of Math, there were 4 videos that seriously insulted and infringed on Mr. and the lives of the remaining victims.

At the trial, the representative of the Procuracy proposed to punish defendant Tran Minh Toan for humiliating others with a prison term of 6 to 9 months.

In defense of the accused, the lawyers asked the jury to return additional investigation files, saying that the investigating agency had violated the procedural procedures. The defense lawyer also suggested considering mitigating circumstances when the accused committed the crime in a state of mental agitation.

The jury found that the procedural authorities had properly followed the provisions of criminal procedures. Defendant Math has confirmed that the videos collected by the investigative agency are his. Therefore, the trial panel denied the lawyers’ request to return the investigation file.

Defendant Math has committed the crime through social networks, causing a lot of public opinion in society, causing disorder in a wide range, the level of danger to society is serious. Previously, the defendant had been fined 200,000 VND by the local police for making words that insult the honor and dignity of others.

At the trial, defendant Toan honestly declared and agreed to compensate the victim for damage. The jury sentenced Tran Minh Toan to the above sentence.
