This decision was made after consulting with relevant ministries.

According to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, people from other localities when coming to these four provinces are also not required to wear masks. Prime Minister Hun Sen asked the governments of four provinces to pilot the removal of masks to closely monitor the situation and be ready to organize rapid tests at the same time to control the epidemic.

Over the past week, the number of COVID-19 infections in Cambodia has not exceeded 35 cases per day. Vaccination activities will still be maintained during the upcoming Chol Chhnam Thmey traditional New Year at temples and attractions.

As of April 10, nearly 93% of the population of this Southeast Asian country has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
