Vaginal or anal tear

Rough sex or using a foreign object (such as a dildo) can tear sensitive tissues inside the vagina or anus. This can be painful and you may bleed. If you feel pain, you should see a doctor.

Remember not to put anything inside the vagina or anus until the area has healed. And use lubricant whenever you have sex to avoid future damage.

Penis is broken

Men can break their penis if they bend too much or hit their partner’s pelvis hard when the penis slips out during sex. This is different from a broken finger or toe. That’s because the penis has no bones, instead, the inside of the penis fills with blood during an erection. Signs of a broken penis are clack, swelling, and severe pain. Now go to the hospital right away.

Muscle tension

Any activity that you do over and over again – like pushing – can strain your muscles. Twisting too hard can pull on the muscles in your abdomen or back. During orgasm, your thighs naturally stretch and you may feel pain afterward. Any pain should go away in a day or two. Otherwise, you could have an injury that really requires a doctor’s care.

Minor burns or skin abrasions

Friction when rubbed against rough surfaces – such as carpets or floors – can leave scrapes and burns on your back, buttocks, and legs. Friction burns can be very painful. Fortunately, most injuries are not serious and they will heal on their own after a few days. To avoid either of these, put a blanket down as a cushion if you’re going to have sex on the floor or hard-surfaced objects.

Strange object stuck

Some couples use sex toys, such as vibrator, dildo, anal beads, or buttock plugs to increase pleasure. Some people use household items such as cucumbers or electric toothbrushes to increase pleasure. This is normal, but be careful that the object you use does not get stuck. If a toy or other object is stuck deep inside the vagina, go to the hospital right away.

Allergic reaction

An itchy or burning rash after sex could be due to an allergy. Lubricants, spermicides, condoms, and even your partner’s perfume can all cause reactions in people who are sensitive to them. Rarely, people are allergic to semen or to a protein in something their partner has eaten, such as nuts stuck in semen. Symptoms of an allergic reaction usually begin about 10 to 30 minutes after exposure. They can last from hours to days.

Heart attack

This is quite rare outside of movies. After all, sex is supposed to be really heart-healthy endurance exercise. If you can do other exercises like walking or jogging with no problem, then you are healthy enough to have sex. Just check in at the hospital if you have symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or an irregular heartbeat.

Backache

One quick move in the right (or wrong) direction can cause back pain. Lifting your partner too quickly can also hurt your back. Therefore, let the other half lean on the bed or table top instead of lifting it all the way. If you have back pain, avoid positions that require you to bend over, arch your back, or put a lot of pressure on your back.

Urinary tract infection (UTI)

Bacteria normally live outside the vagina. During sex, the penis, finger, or sex toy can easily introduce germs to the urethra and into the urinary tract. Signs that you have a UTI include burning when you urinate and blood in your urine. To avoid getting an infection, urinate right after sex to get rid of bacteria.
