Congested for a kilometer when tourists leave Cat Ba island

Vu Manh Trung, Head of Got – Cai Vieng ferry, said that after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, tourists to Cat Ba island during the anniversary of the death anniversary of Group 2022 increased. The ferries run continuously instead of every 30 minutes as usual.

A representative of the ferry terminal management board said that by 5:00 p.m., the traffic congestion had been resolved. Compared to the 2019 holiday season, this year “doesn’t last”.

In order not to have guests stuck on the island after the holiday, today the ferry operates until about 9pm, extending the time by 3 hours.

According to preliminary statistics of the Ferry Terminal Management Board, during the three-day holiday, Cat Ba welcomes about 4,50,000 people, many of whom are foreigners.
