Is it possible to apply for admission to the Police and Army schools at the same time?

At the online exchange for admission to the Public Security School in 2022 taking place this morning, April 11, candidate Tran Hoai Nam asked:

I would love to work in the armed forces. I want to apply to both the Police and the Army, so can I apply for both the Military and the Police schools at the same time and wait for the decision to choose the admission school later? Thank you!

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Kong, Deputy Head of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department replied:

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security, candidates are only allowed to register for admission to one People’s Public Security School (CAND), according to a combination of exam subjects for admission to a training branch.

Candidates who have registered for pre-qualification to public security schools do not apply for pre-qualification to schools under the Ministry of National Defense (military system). Candidates are not allowed to register for pre-qualification at many Admissions Committees. In case candidates intentionally violate, they will not be considered for admission or have their right to be considered for admission to the public security schools.

In 2022, the Ministry of Public Security will apply 3 methods of enrollment to academies and People’s Public Security Schools (hereinafter referred to as police schools), specifically:

Method 1: Direct admission according to the current enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, regulations of the Ministry of Public Security. Applies to all CAND schools.

Method 2: Admission with an international certificate (with an international certificate valid until July 1 of one of the following certificates: IELTS (Academic) of 7.5 or higher or TOEFL iBT of 110 or higher, or have a Chinese certificate HSK level 5 or higher; the Chinese Language Department of the International Academy only accepts candidates with the HSK Chinese certificate) according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security. Applies to the International Academy, the Political Academy of the People’s Police, the Security Profession, and the Police Profession.

Method 3: Admission is based on the results of the high school graduation exam according to the combinations (A00, A01, B00, C00, C03, D01, D04) combined with the results of the regular People’s Police College entrance exam. CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4), referred to as the Ministry of Public Security exam. Accordingly, the entrance examination score is the sum of the scores of 03 subjects in the selection group for admission to the People’s Public Security College (accounting for 40%) and the test scores of the Ministry of Public Security (accounting for 60%). Applicable to all CAND schools, specifically:

Recruitment and training of security and police professions including combinations of A00, A01, C03, D01 and CA1, CA2 exams.

The Information Security major at ANND Academy includes a combination of A00, A01 and exam: CA1.

The majors trained by the CAND Political Academy include the combination of A01, C00, C03, D01 and the CA1, CA2 exam.

The majors trained by CAND University of Technology – Logistics include combination A00, A01 and CA1 exam.

The majors trained by the University of Fire Prevention and Control include the A00 combination and the CA1 exam.

The English Language Department of the International Academy includes a combination of A01, D01 and exams CA1, CA2.

The Chinese Language Department of the International Academy includes a combination of D01, D04 and exams CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4.

Send university training in General Medicine including B00 combination and CA1 exam.

Each candidate is allowed to participate in multiple selection methods at a CAND school.
