Konami is taking eFootball seriously before the big update

According to VCG, Konami has confirmed that they are looking into the feedback from the players eFootball in a ‘very serious’ way, ahead of a major update aimed at addressing many of the criticisms being directed at the game.

Version 1.0.0 will release on April 14 and is considered the first major release of the PES successor game, with New featurebalance updates and bug fixes.

The first version of eFootball was released in September 2021 and received a lot of criticism for its poor gameplay and ‘funny bad’ graphics. eFootball has been named the worst rated game of 2021 by Metacritic.

In a statement sent to VGC, Konami said the criticism was caused by a number of factors, including the move to new development tools and platforms. A game company spokesperson said: “The lack of a game is the result of a number of factors, including the transition to a game development engine. Soccer new, support for newer consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, change of gameplay to free and more we are trying to provide eFootball 2022 new to players as soon as possible.”

“The game received rave reviews for its quality. However, since eFootball Launched in September, we prioritized improvements and tweaks based on feedback and comments received from players.”

When asked if the game’s development team felt that the game was really ready to return, a Konami spokesperson said the company was looking forward to releasing the game as soon as possible.
