Regarding the case of Hanoi tourists, accusing the staff of Sao Xanh hotel Moc Chau with a knife to chase tourists, according to initial information, the man with the knife chasing tourists is the husband of the hotel reception.
On April 9, the People’s Committee of Moc Chau district received information from citizen Bui Thanh Thai (Hanoi). Mr. Thai and his family and friends went to Moc Chau to travel during the holiday of Hung King’s death anniversary.
According to Mr. Thai’s reflection, on April 9, his group had booked a room at Sao Xanh Moc Chau hotel, but then did not receive the right room, the receptionist had an uncooperative attitude and a male staff member still had a problem. Bui Thanh Thai used a knife to chase and cut Mr. Bui Thanh Thai.
Immediately after that, the District People’s Committee directed the Moc Chau District Police to verify the case. Through verification, at 12 noon on April 9, Ms. Dinh Thi Bich Chinh had booked two rooms 301 and 303 at Sao Xanh hotel. At 3 pm on April 9, a member of Ms. Chinh’s group came to check in room 301.

On the night of April 9, Mr. Thai and Mr. Vu Van Thanh (Bac Ninh) came to check in the remaining room. However, due to the wrong room arrangement, the receptionist, Ms. Phan Thi Thu Thao (Moc Chau, Son La) arranged room 303 for another group of guests. Ms. Thao suggested to arrange another room for Mr. Thai, but due to the poor quality of the room, Mr. Thai did not agree. The two sides could not come to an agreement, so there was a loud argument.
During that process, Mr. Le Ngoc Sang, husband of Ms. Phan Thi Thu Thao came to the hotel. When he saw his wife and the group of guests arguing back and forth, Mr. Sang spoke loudly to Mr. Bui Thanh Thai to protect his wife. Then, Mr. Sang went to the kitchen area of the hotel and took a knife, chased Mr. Thai. When he saw that he was being chased with a knife, Mr. Thai ran away to the yard. Due to everyone’s timely intervention, the incident did not cause anyone to be injured.
According to initial verification results, the person who chased tourists with a knife at Sao Xanh Moc Chau hotel was not a hotel employee but the husband of the hotel reception.
After the incident, two Facebook accounts, Tran Trung Anh and Bui Hai Nguyen, posted photos and content of the incident on social networks with the content: Hotel staff with knives chasing guests.
“My husband came to visit his wife from Hanoi for a few days. When he saw me and the group of guests talking back and forth, my husband wanted to protect his wife, so he argued with the guest, then went to the kitchen to take out a knife. Currently, the People’s Committee of Moc Chau District has directed the district police to use professional measures, conduct investigation, clarify and make a dossier of handling according to regulations for Le Ngoc Sang’s behavior.
At the same time, the police agency also continued to investigate, verify and clarify the two account holders who posted information on social networks.
