“National team” National Team through each period

The phrase “National Squad” has started appearing on the Genshin Impact China forums since many previous versions. Many players don’t want to depend on expensive, hard-to-match, picky 5-star characters, so have sought to build player-friendly squads with the free plow system. In which, National Team is the most effective squad, even still used and improved according to each game version.

Genshin Impact:

National lineup first version

The national squad is mainly used to challenge Luo Huan Tham Canh, with the strength of which is to deal a lot of damage based on continuous elemental reactions. This lineup originally had Xiangling – Bennet – Xingqiu – Chongyun. The damage of this squad mainly comes from the evaporation, melting reaction, with a reasonable character rotation, ensuring no downtime.

Genshin Impact:

Chongyun’s position is the most easily replaced. Therefore, in some other versions of National Team, Chongyun can be replaced by Sucrose. This squad is still quite easy to build because all 4-star characters, not picky about weapons, help new players still have a strong squad to clear the basic content of the game.

Genshin Impact:

Team “Thunder God”

After its release, Raiden Shogun stormed the Genshin gaming communities. One of the reasons this character is so popular is because she can perfectly combine with the “National Squad” by taking the place of Chongyun/Sucrose.

Genshin Impact:

This squad loses an advantage that is not only 4-star characters anymore. But in return, Raiden Shogun has brought the national team to a new level. In addition to smoother, more efficient character rotation, the Raiden Shogun’s ability to recharge can also help the National Team reach its full potential. High and continuous recharge efficiency is the number one priority when using this formation, to maintain a constant elemental response and very good shield breaking.

International Team

Kazuha’s arrival caused a big change in the national lineup. The original squad was now “modified” into the International Team, including Childe – Kazuha – Xiangling and Bennet. In it, Childe plays the role of DPS and water level, Kazuha diffuses and supports damage, replacing Sucrose’s role.

Genshin Impact:

In the past, there were some players who still used Childe with the original national lineup, removing Chongyun or Xingqiu from the team. But Kazuha helped “upgrade” this squad, which the players called the new International Team. The only weakness of this squad is that there are 2 5-star characters, which not all players have. In addition, Childe’s playstyle is also quite unique, it takes a lot of practice and getting used to to get the perfect rotation.

Ayato’s International lineup?

A new lineup that many players have recently been testing for effectiveness is the International Team, but replacing Childe with Ayato. Similar to Childe, Ayato plays the role of DPS and leveler. However, compared to Childe or Xingqiu, Ayato couldn’t replenish water as well and was less efficient in elemental loading.

Genshin Impact:

In order to promote Ayato in the International lineup, players need a relatively high elemental loading efficiency index of Ayato. If he can cause continuous anger, Ayato will be able to grant Water continuously in the AOE range and promote the strength of this squad.

Genshin Impact:

The national squad has a core base of elemental reaction – a rather unique mechanism, unique to Genshin Impact. Despite going through many versions, this squad still “dominated” La Hoan Tham Canh. In the future, perhaps we will see many new and more attractive variations of the National Team. Especially when a new Water-type character, Yelan, is coming soon, with rumors that she will be an extremely powerful support/sub DPS.
