Student charged with attempted murder in Las Vegas teacher attack over grades

Las Vegas police say a 16-year-old student has been charged with attempted murder and sexual assault after “abusing” and strangling his teacher during a dispute over grades last week.

Officers were called to a high school in the 1100 block of North Linn Lane on Thursday at 3:30 p.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement. New information posted.
