In particular, there are years when flood water overflows to the dam surface, but strangely, the fish still do not come out of the dam. Around the fish stream, there are still many stories that are difficult to explain, with bold mythological colors.

No one dares to fish in this stream because they think it is a “god fish” and is associated with the anecdote of a girl from Chieng Ban village. Legend has it that in the past, that girl was famous for being beautiful, gentle, farming, and good at weaving.
One day, she went to the cave to play. While walking outside, the wind suddenly arose and swept her into the heart of the mountain. The villagers said that she was caught by the stream as a wife.
On the day her mother died, she and her husband returned to mourn her mother. Her husband was transformed into an unusual, handsome, handsome man. After visiting her mother, a storm arose again, she and her husband disappeared, and since then have not returned to the village.
The story has many versions, but they all conclude that the “king fish” in the cave was transformed into by the daughter of Chieng Ban. Someone even claimed to have seen “the queen fish”, with a glittering yellow scale near her gills, like the gold ring she wore in the past.

It is known that in the past 3-4 years, the fish school has shown signs of proliferating more and more. Through survey and research, the fish here are similar to those found in Cam Lien and Cam Luong communes of Cam Thuy district.

When the Hung Linh uprising movement led by Tong Duy Tan failed, the French colonialists violently suppressed it, sending troops to surround the Muong Ky area to hunt down Tong Duy Tan. He came here, hid himself in a cave with the protection and protection of the Muong Ky people, waiting for the opportunity to restore the uprising.
But because of his treason, the French finally tracked down his hiding place. Caught Tong Duy Tan, they tried every way to subdue him but failed, so they executed him.
The relic of Tong Duy Tan’s cave contributes to embellishing the heroic and tragic historical beauty of Van Nho’s fish cave, creating an outstanding and meaningful tourist complex.
