In 2017, when the two separated, Mrs. N. took her two children to live with her two sisters in Tien hamlet, Tan Thong Hoi commune, Cu Chi district.

The doctor told Mrs. N. that her daughter had a minor head injury, so she did not need to be hospitalized. On April 8, Mrs. N. took baby A. to the doctor once more.

On the morning of April 11, Mrs. N. and her two sisters discovered that baby N. was in a coma, so she was taken to Cu Chi General Hospital for emergency treatment. But about 1 hour in hospital, baby A. died. According to Mrs. N., the doctor informed her that baby A. died due to severe kidney failure, delayed emergency transfer.

Sharing with Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper, neighbors said that A’s family moved here for about three to four years and had little communication with the surroundings. They often see the woman in the house picking up ticks and bottles. Many people were surprised and confused after the police came to work at the house. A neighbor commented that baby A’s family has a difficult life.

A relative in A’s family also said that Mrs. N. – her mother worked alone as a security guard to raise two children. Recently, baby A showed signs of kidney disease, many times his family went to various places for medical examination and treatment. “She has had kidney and heart disease for about half a month now,” said Mr. Ha, 63, her biological uncle and said that due to her illness and weak health, she did not go to school.

The uncle also said that the day he took the baby to Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, his health was very weak. Near the hospital, the baby fainted, later died.

Responding to the PV about the suspicion that the child was abused, Mr. Ha said that there was no such thing. “His mother loves him endlessly, he has no father. His mother works hard to raise two children.” – Mr. Ha continued.

According to the family, the baby has kidney failure, swollen limbs and pain in the lower abdomen. The scratches were caused by edema and the child scratched himself, but there was no violent incident leading to death.
