Ba Ria – Vung Tau spent 670 billion on site clearance for highways

The content was approved at the meeting of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provincial People’s Council, term VII, term 2021-2026, on April 12.

Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway (phase 1) is 53.7 km long, 4-6 lanes, with a total investment of 17,837 billion VND, expected to start early next year and complete in 2025.

The Ministry of Transport proposes to divide the expressway into 3 component projects. In which, component projects 1 and 2 are 34.2 km long, implemented in Dong Nai, with a total cost of 12,647 billion VND. The remaining section is implemented in Ba Ria – Vung Tau with a total investment of 5,190 billion VND.

The cost of compensation, support and resettlement in the section through Ba Ria – Vung Tau is about 1,333 billion VND. The locality committed to allocate 50% of the capital from the reserve for the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period to participate even though the budget is facing difficulties due to the reduction in the regulation rate from 64% to 56%.

Regarding the clearance of this highway, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province recently planned to withdraw 373 hectares of landarrange resettlement of more than 2,000 households in the places where the project passes.

Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway is one of three expressway projects that the Government has put on the list of the program of socio-economic recovery and development, meeting the urgent transportation needs of the key economic region. southern.

When completed, the expressway will share vehicle traffic with National Highway 51, contributing to connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
