SCMP reported that Cao Ung Chinh was born in Qingdao city, Shandong province with the original name Cao Tang Vu. After graduating in political studies from Xinjiang University in 1982, he worked for Xinjiang Construction and Manufacturing Corporation with a salary of three dong.

Gao Yongzheng managed to work in various professions, and at one time was a lecturer at a Chinese Party school, however then he suddenly emerged with his “mystical ability” after predicting future of a billionaire.
