MacBook Air equipped with M2 chip will have a white track instead of black?

Apple introduced the “notch” design on the iPhone X back in 2017 and although this design was quite controversial, it ended up being a trend in the smartphone market for many years.

But not only at the iPhone, Apple has put it on laptops, specifically the MacBook line in the past time. On the MacBook Pro 2021 model, Apple has introduced a notch on the laptop with a characteristic black groove.

According to iDropNews, Apple will continue to maintain this design on the next generation and specifically the MacBook Air using the M2 chip. But this time, the machine will have a white track instead of black.

So far, Apple’s marketing materials have more or less used different ways to avoid highlighting the notch, including keeping the background dark and providing the option to cover the notch.

But if you switch to the white rabbit ear design, it will be difficult to cover it up with the above methods. Of course, if Apple really considered using white for the black track, it would have prepared solutions for this choice.

Meanwhile, Apple is said to be working on removing the notch on the iPhone. It is expected that the iPhone 14 generation, specifically the two Pro and Pro Max variants, will most likely remove the notch and switch to a punch-hole screen design similar to Android smartphones.
