High-risk strains of HPV are detected in more than 99% of cervical cancers.

With the current low rate of HPV vaccination in Vietnam, at 12% in 2020-2021, in order to support the Ministry of Health in implementing the HPV vaccination program, MSD signed a Technical Cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund in 2019. The program is implemented in the period 2019-2023, supporting the development of a national roadmap on HPV vaccination and addressing the burden of HPV-related diseases.
