Zelenska said that she and her children, 17-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son, were not allowed to stay with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and could only talk on the phone.

“Volodymyr and his team actually live in the office of the president. Due to the danger, the children and I are not allowed there. So we have only talked on the phone for over a month,” he said. Ukraine’s first lady said.

Talking about how her family is going through the war, Ms Zelenska said “it’s like walking on a rope”. “If you think about how we’re going to do it, it’s going to take time and balance. So to stay strong, we have to go ahead and do what needs to be done. I know all Ukrainians are also steadfast.” , she said. “My children have grown a lot during this time and they also feel responsible for each other and the people around them,” she added.

When asked about remaining in Ukraine despite being a “second target” after her husband Zelensky, the first lady of Ukraine replied that every Ukrainian is a target. “We’re all number one,” she said.

In the interview, Ms. Zelenska said her priority is to support the women and children in the country, especially the most vulnerable – including children with cancer or disabilities and orphans. , and send them safely to other countries.

She is also involved in importing incubators to Ukraine to support babies in cities under attack. Two incubators have already been delivered and eight more are expected to be distributed. “Many hospitals are losing power and children’s lives are at stake. Therefore, we need devices that can save lives without interruption (due to power failure),” she said.
