Regarding the unusual death of a NNTA girl (7 years old, living in Tan Thong Hoi commune), Thanh Nien newspaper reported, on April 11, the Cu Chi district police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department – the City Police. HCM took the testimony of the child’s mother, Mrs. NTAN (43 years old, from Bac Lieu) and the child’s relatives to clarify the case.

Initially working with the authorities, Ms. N. claimed that she knew a man from Long An, the two lived together as husband and wife and had two children.

In 2017, the two broke up, Mrs. N. took her children to live with her two sisters in Tan Thong Hoi commune, Cu Chi district. At this time, Mrs. N. discovered that A. often scratched her body, banged her head against the wall…

On April 1, Mrs. N. saw that her daughter’s body was scratched, her forehead had a wound. Through conversation, baby A. said self-injury, banging his head against the wall.

On April 2, Mrs. N. took her daughter to a general clinic in Cu Chi district for examination. Here, the doctor also diagnosed the baby with kidney disease and asked the family to take the child to the hospital for examination and testing. On the same day, Mrs. N. took her child to be examined at Cu Chi General Hospital and then returned home.

On 8/4, baby A. was again taken by Mrs. N. to have a health check-up.

Three days later, Mrs. N. and her family members discovered that baby A. was in a coma, so she was taken to Cu Chi General Hospital for emergency treatment, but the baby died.

Initially, the police received information from the health agency that baby A. had severe kidney failure and showed signs of autism.

Reporter of PL newspaper. Ho Chi Minh City recorded reviews from neighbors saying that A.’s family moved here for about three to four years and rarely interacted with the surroundings. They often see the woman in the house picking up ticks and bottles, family life is difficult.

A relative in the family of baby A. shared that Mrs. N. alone worked as a security guard to raise two children. Recently, baby A. has shown signs of kidney disease, many times his family has been examined and treated everywhere.

The uncle also said that the day he took the baby to Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, his health was very weak. Near the hospital, the baby fainted, later died.

Responding to the above reporter’s question about the child being abused, Mr. Ha confirmed that there was no such thing. “His mother loves him endlessly, without a father. His mother worked hard to raise two children,” the uncle confided.

According to the family, the baby has kidney failure, swollen limbs and pain in the lower abdomen. The scratches were caused by edema and the child scratched himself, but there was no violent incident leading to death.
