Moreover, that’s the amount of money needed to make big scenes with modern support facilities, helping us to have a good team from pre-production to post-production.

– Is the film the more money invested, the better the quality?

It can be understood this way, with more money, there will be many good people in the crew, many good facilities, good conditions from pre-production to post-production, of course the film will ensure a higher success rate. As for low-budget films, independent films can also be good to some extent, but like how you build a house, the money spent on building a 1-storey house will not be able to build a 10-story house.

The grand scene and the context are heavily invested with up to hundreds of containers, performed in adverse weather due to rain and cold.

– In addition to the huge budget, “578: Shot of the Madman” also has a quality crew, most of the action scenes are shot in one shot, the grand scene is up to 20 hectares, 471 containers. are not?

There are no studios in Vietnam, so we have to do the actual filming. Using nearly 500 containers was already difficult, we shot in the rain with real combat requirements and complicated one shot scenes were twice as difficult.

Sometimes I wonder, why am I going into this difficult situation, just doing it just to be safe. But when making films, I have a bigger desire to contribute to draw the gap between Vietnamese cinema and international cinema. So if I can do it, why can’t I, so I’m determined to do it.

– Are you under pressure to overcome the “father and son” shadow with this project?

Each film has a different color and to avoid repeating myself I changed the subject and created as freely as possible. So it’s not that I pressured “Father and son” but my pressure with “578: Bullet of the Madman” was to make the movie the most special in the action movie genre and allow me to open up a horizon. broader for this genre. As for success, I believe it will be successful because I made this movie with my own substance and have my own path for it.

– Recently, audiences often say that they don’t expect Vietnamese movies and lose faith in Vietnamese cinema. As a filmmaker, preparing to release a Vietnamese work, what do you think about this issue?

Audiences now also lose faith, being deceived by the media about the quality of the film, so they are even more disappointed. Let’s not blame the audience, if they want a good movie, please respect that and do it. But now many filmmakers are still doing it in a jerky style, which is a little pocket-sized. And no one is responsible when the Vietnamese film brand is affected and no one has won when trying to make a good movie.

Going in the middle of that wave, I was also more or less exhausted because of money, but I will always respect the audience’s time to produce a quality film. So with this project, the audience will not be disappointed.

Quality crew and always want to give the audience the most “worth the money” experience

– Revenue is a measure to evaluate the quality of a movie?

No, many movies in Vietnam make a lot of money because of good communication! Now there are boring repetitive movies. Many theaters say the error is due to the market, due to the translation, but personally, I think the current film quality has more or less lost a number of audiences to the theater.

– Regarding the actors, “578: Shot of the Madman” gather new and strange names of Vietnamese cinema, are you worried that this will be the thing that makes the audience worry when deciding to watch the movie?

Many viewers often complain that when they go to theaters in a month, sometimes they have to watch 2 movies with the same actor, repeating the same filmmaking style, until they get bored. Therefore, I want to give the audience a new feeling through new and more talented actor images.

The national queen looks very suitable for the female image – strong and tough

– Choosing H’Hen Niê as the female lead, is it too risky, sir?

“578: Shot of the Madman” is not a personal playground and I have no right to do whatever I want. The choice of H’Hen Niê is choosing for the movie – the movie needs her to properly perform this role, that’s all. And I’m a cinematic, I know what I need. Also to be honest, H’Hen Niê participated in this project for the first time, but I asked her to work intensely and rigorously like a professional actress.

To this day, I still have no regrets about choosing H’Hen Niê, to this day, if I had to choose again, I would still choose her for this role.

– Do you have high expectations for H’Hen Nie’s fame and popularity as a factor attracting box office guests?

Many movies with celebrities still fail at the box office! H’Hen Niê’s reputation is not a top priority factor when entering the film. But I still hope that people who love H’Hen Niê will come and admire her. H’Hen Niê will not disappoint anyone.

H’Hen Nie is extremely “fight” with action scenes

– Is it too easy to call H’Hen Niê “a womanizer”?

There is this fact, previously making action movies was very difficult to do.
