HAGL ready for performance in AFC Champions League

Yesterday, the whole HAGL team was present in Ho Chi Minh City ready for the performance at AFC Champions League in the role of group H.

For HAGL Club, participating in the most prestigious arena at the Asian club level is considered a “day of return”. Coach Kiatisak himself also expects 6 matches with the top giants in the continent to create a positive boost for the team.

Mr. Kiatisak expressed: “I think the whole HAGL team is very excited because for many players, this is the first time they can participate in the continental playground. That’s why they have been actively preparing very well the whole time. We can’t compare V League and the AFC Champions League because these are completely different tournaments. HAGL wants to play against top teams from Japan, Korea and Australia.

HAGL wants to contribute and have the best performance, against the strongest opponents. We not only play football for HAGL fans but also represent Vietnamese football and we will be determined to play football and dedicate ourselves to Vietnamese fans. HAGL has its goals and football that, who knows what will happen. Every time we talk to a player, we agree that there is nothing to be shy or afraid of. HAGL is the host of Group H and will fight for the fans. We hope that not only Ho Chi Minh City and Gia Lai fans but also fans of other provinces will also come to Thong Nhat Stadium to support HAGL, to show the best face of Vietnamese football.”

After settling down at the Park Royal Hotel, HAGL will have its first training session at Military Zone 7 this afternoon. Will meet HAGL in the opening match of Group H at 6pm on April 16, head coach Yokohama F.Marinos ClubKevin Muscat said: “We came here with 66 members. This is a tough game. However, the goal of Yokohama F.Marinos is to win and qualify for the group stage. I respect HAGL when playing at home, getting used to the conditions weather, yard… They are a team with many strengths. I’m preparing the best for the first match.”

Tickets to see Group H AFC Champions League will be issued at Thong Nhat Stadium from 8:30 a.m. on April 14 with prices of 50,000, 100,000 and 200,000 VND.
