Mazda CX-5 continues to surpass sales of CR-V and Tucson

In March, the Japanese CUV model sold 1,365 cars, following behind was the CR-V with 991 cars, while the Tucson lacked sales of only nearly 600 cars.

Two months in a row Mazda CX-5 Topping the C-size crossover segment, a segment with great competitive pressure. In January, CX-5 to Hyundai Tucson surpassed, however, in the last two months the model assembled by Truong Hai has regained its position. Lack of spare parts and cars, Tucson sold only 287 cars in February and 588 cars in March.

The other opponent is Honda CR-VA Continuously exerting pressure with price incentives, on average, CR-V also delivers more than 1,000 units per month. This is also the model that experts appreciate the most in the segment, winning the award Car of the year at the Car Awards 2021.

In the other group Mitsubishi Outlander. New Outlander upgrade version with many new equipment but the price remains the same.

According to cumulative, currently CX-5 ranks first, followed by CR-V and third is Tucson, fourth is Outlander. The market still has some models in the segment but has not announced sales such as MG HS, Peugeot 3008.

Tucson is a threat to the CR-V’s second place and even the CX-5’s first place when it is receiving interest from many customers. Dealers constantly push car prices up, a difference of 100-150 million dong. If there is an abundant supply, sales of Tucson will be much higher.

The current C-sized high-rise car is still quite active with fierce competition despite parting with some names such as Chevrolet Captiva, Ford Escape, Nissan X-Trail, Kia Sportage or Toyota that have not distributed RAV4. It is expected that this year Truong Hai will bring the Sportage back to the market and do not exclude Nissan also selling the X-Trail again. Besides, the appearance of Ford Territory or Suzuki T-Cross.
