poorly assembled, the color is not uniform

When it was first launched in 2019, Cybertruck surprised the world with its new and aggressive design. It is completely different from the rest and like a strange wind blowing into the world of pickup trucks, which has developed very slowly over the years. Besides, Tesla’s new model also impresses in a way like no other, when the glass door was “thrown and cracked” right on the launch event stage.

Up to now, Tesla continues to confidently declare that their Cybertruck production plan is still proceeding smoothly and will be in line with the set goals. Not only that, at the recent Cyber Rodeo event, Elon Musk’s electric car company also revealed an upgraded version for this vehicle. It’s okay, we have to be happy that Tesla is still consistent with its plan and vision. But here’s the problem: This new version of Cybertruck is so ugly!

Close-up of the new Cybertruck version that Tesla has just launched at the Cyber Rodeo event, held at the Gigafactory in Texas, USA.

Even the car that was brought to the stage to be unveiled at this event had pretty bad build quality, at least in the outer shell. The car door has a completely different color from the rest of the parts, the rear of the car seems a bit dented, dull and scratched. When shooting close-ups, in better-lit spaces, these flaws are even more apparent.

Thanks to the video above from the Cyber Owners YouTube channel, we can easily spot the problems that the new version of Cybertruck has. And sadly, the more we look closely, the more mistakes we discover. For example, the metal panels of the car’s tires seem to have flatness and curvature that do not match, especially the warping phenomenon in the roof of the car. Everything is machined in a disorganized manner, creating large gaps between the panels that we can clearly see in close-up shots.

The metal plate on the roof of the new Cybertruck is clearly warped.

The body of the car is not much better, when everything is not aligned and synchronized. The roof is out of alignment with the windows and rubber bands are attached around the doors. The pillars dividing the front and rear doors are “out of place” compared to the window sill and the rest of the body, not to mention the scratched condition. The distance between the fender and the door is not equal enough that it can be seen by the naked eye, without needing to be measured.

At some camera angles, it is possible to realize that the front of the car has a darker, warmer tone than the car door. Could it be that the car’s shell is completed by many different processes and then reassembled into an inhomogeneous Cybertruck?

The new Cybertruck is assembled in a rather sloppy manner, lacking uniformity in design.

Occasionally in the video above, we will see exposed plastic clips, strangely bent metal plates, and many areas (like the area around the reversing camera) that are glued with tape in a way. negligent, temporary, as if “done” to meet the event deadline.

It is true that the prototype used in the launch event will often be “cheated” a bit, as long as the exterior design is beautiful enough and complete enough to be released. However, if this is a “fully manufactured” version of Cybertruck as Tesla claims, perhaps they need to consider perfecting their product.
