The restored stone stele at Phu Van Lau relic on Le Duan street, Hue city, for unknown reasons, suddenly broke many sections.
On April 13, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that the stone stele “Conquer the lower horse” (translated as “tilt the bow, get off the horse”) is in front of the Phu Van Lau architectural monument on the road. Le Duan (Hue City, Thua Thien Hue province) suddenly broke into many segments for unknown reasons.

Some residents discovered this stone stele broken from yesterday 12/4. After receiving the information, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center sent officers to the scene to verify.
Hoang Viet Trung, director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that the agency has reported to the authorities to track down the person who caused the incident. If it is verified that the subject has committed acts of vandalism, appropriate handling measures will be taken.
It is known that the broken stele is a restored stele, not the original stele. In the morning of April 13, Hue Monuments Conservation Center has finished cleaning up the fragments of the stele. It is expected that the unit will rebuild the stele at the original location.
The stele “Conquer the lower horse” placed in front of the Phu Van Lau relic was restored in 2016, at the same time as the great restoration of Phu Van Lau work of the Nguyen Dynasty in the ancient capital of Hue.
