The UK’s “thinnest” house is for sale for $1.3 million

It is known that this unusual house was built sometime in the late 19th or early 20th century and was once a Victorian hat shop. At that time, the upper floors of the house were used as storage for goods and living areas.

The house still retains the old-fashioned shop front glass door with a melon hat-shaped lamp.

David Myers, Assistant Sales Manager at Winkworth estate, which is in charge of the sale, said the home was worth it because it was “a unique piece of London’s history”.

“Unique, beautiful, stylish and probably the slimmest house in the UK. More than a house,” reads one description in an online advertisement in the British press.

This house is expensive compared to ordinary houses in the UK, where the average house price is about 350,000 USD. However, these prices are typical of the London property market.

“This house is more expensive because it has everything. From Shepherd’s Bush to the center of London it takes only 10 to 15 minutes,” the property company said.
