Bethesda announces QuakeCon 2022 event will take place online in August
The QuakeCon 2022 event has just been announced to take place online only.
According to VCG, Bethesda has confirmed that this year’s QuakeCon event will be held online. In addition, the company said it has plans for the event of 2023, with a return to hosting in person.

“This year’s QuakeCon will once again be an online event, taking place from August 18 to August 20, 2022,” Bethesda said. “We are very disappointed not to be able to return to Dallas this year. QuakeCon was a large event and required months of planning, so the company had to make the decision to go online, as there was still so much uncertainty to deliver a show. Presenting QuakeCon directly to the fan community.”
Accompanying the announcement of the online event, the company also said that the QuakeCon team worked hard to bring this year’s event the best. news fun, online meetups, giveaways, charity, virtual BYOC and more. Everything will be announced in detail in June.
QuakeCon is known as an annual celebration of major brands by id Software and other Bethesda studios, the event has been going on since 1996. The event usually attracts around 10,000 attendees.
