There are also times when it seems like you want to give up, but once you decide to go, you are determined to overcome your limits to do things you’ve never done, do things you’ve never had.”

After 56 days of being alone, Toan shared that he had experienced all kinds of emotions, happy yes, sad, lonely, cold, hot,… but the luckiest thing was to meet incredibly people. kind-hearted helped, gave him gifts, cakes and drinks along the way.

Of course, there were times when Toan had difficulty begging for food or sleeping but no one was willing to help, and even encountered robbers while sleeping in the park.

“At that time, I instinctively only knew how to run as fast as possible to escape the robbers. And then I always went under the bridge to sleep there overnight. I have never been bitten by a mosquito without having anywhere to bite like that day. It is a memory that will never be forgotten” – Toan narrated.

Every morning, rain or shine, at 5:00 am, Toan starts his 50km/day journey again. Before leaving, he shared on social media channels his itinerary and expected destination.

Gradually, the Nghe boy’s ‘0 dong’ trip across Vietnam became known to many people. People also pick him up at each destination, give him a bottle of water, a cake… or share a place to sleep the night.

Full recollection: “During the journey, there were many people who helped me, even though I was a stranger, they were still willing to help, my feelings at that time were speechless.

Going on a day of studying and learning, in the past, Toan is fortunate to meet stories worth learning, and worth knowing what to do for the next days!”.

When arriving at Lung Cu flagpole – the northernmost point of the country, completing the walking journey from Ca Mau cape to here, the feeling of surpassing one’s own limits is indescribable. But I will not rest on my own victory, feeling the need to set new goals to complete.” – Toan said.

Sharing his experience to be able to travel 3,000km alone, Toan said he had to prepare carefully from health to knowledge and even to work arrangements a year before.

“I exercise every day, try at least 10km and then gradually increase. The diet is also very strict to ensure that I can adapt to the journey of 0 dong, begging, begging for water and asking for a place to sleep.”

The most important thing to overcome that difficult journey is to set specific goals, strategies and action plans. Then in the process of walking, if you see where it needs to be corrected, if it is not suitable, then gradually adjust it.” Full confession.

The message that Toan wants to convey to young people through the journey through Vietnam is: “Overcoming fear – everything is self-imposed, breaking that limit to overcome fear will make you a lot stronger. Once you have broken your limit, nothing is impossible. If you can’t do it, you can do it if you want to.”
