According to BSCK II Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Deputy Director of Ha Long Medical Center, 34 health workers were mobilized to vaccinate. 6 injection teams include 6 reception desks, 6 screening tables, 6 injection tables and 6 post-injection monitoring tables, of which 2 emergency beds are prepared.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son said that injections COVID-19 vaccine for children has an important meaning, helping to protect children’s health during the COVID-19 epidemic, contributing to reducing disease and reducing transmission between generations in the family and teachers and students at school. learn. Immunization for children also promotes socio-economic development goals, bringing life back to normal.

Quang Ninh is the first locality to deploy vaccination for children 5-11 years old, followed by Hanoi. Next week, the Ministry of Health will deploy the injection nationwide.

It is expected that about 8.2 million children 5-11 will participate in vaccination COVID-19 out of a total of 11.8 children of this age nationwide. The remaining 3.6 children, due to COVID-19 infection recently, will be subject to a delay of 3 months after recovering from the disease. The Ministry of Health is expected to complete the immunization work for children 5-11 years old in the second quarter.
