According to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, the offense of not wearing a seat belt will be punished specifically as follows:

– A fine ranging from VND 800,000 to VND 1 million shall be imposed on drivers who do not wear seat belts when driving on the road and carrying people in cars without seat belts (at locations equipped with seat belts). full) while the vehicle is running.

– A fine ranging from VND 300,000 to VND 500,000 shall be imposed on persons transported in cars without seat belts (at locations equipped with seat belts) while the vehicle is running.

Does not wearing seat belt error need pictures?

On forums, people often argue about the error of not wearing seat belts, whether there is a need for pictures. Accordingly, the current law does not stipulate that when sanctioning for not wearing seat belts, pictures are required as evidence.

However, many drivers often behave uncooperatively and demand to see pictures. Therefore, the current traffic police force is mostly equipped with cameras, recording video while the vehicle is running to serve as evidence of punishment to avoid wasting time when handling violations.
