Russia accused Ukraine of repeatedly attacking its territory

RT radio quoted the Russian Investigative Committee (RIC) as saying that the first attack occurred in the border village of Klimovo in the Bryansk region – Russia on April 14. Two alleged Ukrainian attack helicopters “intruded into Russian airspace and carried out at least six strikes on residential buildings, injuring seven people”.

Bryansk region governor Aleksandr Bogomaz claimed the attack was carried out by the Ukrainian army. According to RIC, they are treating this attack as a criminal incident, and revealed that two Ukrainian helicopters entered Russian airspace around noon, flying at low altitude.

Two helicopters allegedly fired heavy weapons at the village of Klimovo. In addition to the seven people injured, including a two-year-old boy and his mother, six buildings were damaged. Firefighters also extinguished fires in two buildings and schools in the area were temporarily closed.

The village of Klimovo is located about 10 km from the Ukrainian border, near the Chernigov region, in northern Ukraine. Earlier this month, Russia withdrew its forces from the Chernigov region to “facilitate peace negotiations”.

In a second attack blamed on the Ukrainian military on April 14, Russia’s border guards said “a group of about 30 refugees from Ukraine were targeted by mortars as they were crossing the border station”. control Novye Yurkovichi”. No one was injured, but two civilian vehicles were damaged.

The attack happened on the other side of the Ukrainian border, about 40 kilometers southwest of the village of Klimovo.

Earlier, on April 1, a similar air strike allegedly carried out by the Ukrainian military targeted an oil storage facility in the Russian city of Belgorod. Local investigators say that two helicopters fired at least four missiles, causing significant damage on the ground. However, the Ukrainian side later denied this allegation.

The Russian Defense Ministry warned that it could escalate its military activity in Ukraine if Kiev continues to attack its territory.
