On April 14, a clip of landslides on Son Tra peninsula (Da Nang) appeared on social networks posted by a resident, along with a reminder to everyone to be careful when crossing this road.
According to research, the incident happened at about 10:30 pm on April 14, at Hoang Sa Street – Son Tra peninsula area (in Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district).
Ms. Ngo Huyen, who witnessed the incident and shared the clip on social networks, said that the above video was recorded from the dash cam in her car.

At that time, Ms. Huyen was driving a car from the top of Son Tra peninsula towards the center of Da Nang city. When the car was about 20m away from the location, she saw a monkey on the side of the road, so she slowed the car down. Suddenly, a large rock and small rocks rolled down the road. Fortunately, there is no traffic at the moment.
“The incident only lasted for a few seconds, fortunately I was able to slow down the car so I escaped.” Huyen shared.
Regarding this incident, Mr. Le Tan Thanh – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tho Quang ward (Son Tra district) said that this unit has reported the incident to the People’s Committee of Son Tra district and departments to check and determine. the cause of the landslide. So far, landslides in Son Tra peninsula usually only occur in the rainy season, the phenomenon of falling rocks in Son Tra peninsula in the middle of the dry season is unusual.
Immediately after the landslide, Da Nang Bridge and Road Management Joint Stock Company mobilized human resources and vehicles to clean up fallen rocks on the road to ensure traffic safety. In the immediate future, the local government has placed warning signs for people and tourists to pay attention when passing through these areas.
