According to a report of Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, in the first quarter of 2022, the province’s economic growth rate was high, many indicators increased higher than the same period last year. Specifically, the growth rate of gross domestic product (GRDP) was estimated at 12.93%, higher than the same period in the same period and ranked 3rd out of 63 provinces and cities with the highest GRDP growth rate in the country (after the same period last year). State budget revenue was estimated at 12,420 billion VND, equaling 44% of the estimate and increasing by 1.6% over the same period, meeting the tasks for socio-economic development in the province.
There are 6 more communes meeting the standards of rural areas, 8 communes meeting the standards of advanced rural areas, 2 communes and 40 villages and hamlets meeting the standards of model rural areas; 38 more products achieved OCOP at provincial level; agricultural, forestry and fishery production achieved positive results.

Also in the first quarter, leaders of Thanh Hoa province received and worked with many domestic and foreign corporations, businesses, and financial institutions to call for investment. Mobilized investment capital was 18 direct investment projects (3 FDI projects), total registered investment capital was 881.6 billion VND and 21 million USD. As of March 29, Thanh Hoa has disbursed 2,636 billion VND of public investment capital in 2022, equal to 24.8% of the plan and is one of several provinces with the fastest disbursement rate in the country.
