After two major exhibitions including the Los Angeles Auto Show 2021 and the CES 2022 technology exhibition, VinFast continues to appear at the third exhibition in the US, the New York International Auto Show 2022 (NYIAS 2022). Currently, VinFast has brought 3 models to the exhibition, including VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9.

Within the framework of NYIAS 2022, VinFast has officially announced the rental price of electric car batteries in the US. There are two monthly battery rental packages offered, Fixed and Flexible, similar to Vietnam. In particular, the Flexible package costs $35 (more than VND 800,000) for VF 8 and $44 (over VND 1 million) for VF 9 with a range of 310 miles/month. From mile 311 onwards, the battery rental fee per mile is $0.11. The Fixed Package does not limit the range of movement, priced at 110 USD (more than 2.5 million VND) and 160 USD (over 3.6 million VND) respectively with two models VF 8 and VF 9.
Just like in Vietnam, with the battery rental policy in the US, VinFast also bears all the risks related to the battery and the battery price is not included in the car price. VinFast also commits to a lifetime battery warranty and free battery replacement when the charging capacity drops below 70%.
In the immediate future, VinFast will offer a 100% battery rental policy, then adjust it to 50% of batteries for rent and 50% for sale with the car.

The list price of VinFast VF 8 in the US is from 40,700 USD and 41,000 USD (depending on the type of battery selected) with the Eco version. The Plus version costs $47,000 and $48,000. The larger SUV model is the VF 9 priced at $ 55,500 and $ 56,000 for the Eco version and $ 60,500 and $ 61,000 for the Plus version.
At NYIAS 2022, customers in the US will have the opportunity to test drive the VF 8 and experience some smart services in the Smart Services package.

Also at NYIAS 2022, VinFast activated VinFirst NFT transaction on Pylygon platform on OpenSea – the largest NFT exchange in the world. It can be understood simply that VinFast NFT is a form of confirmation to order VF 8 and VF 9 cars in the form of tokens on the blockchain. NFT (non-fungible token) is a cryptographic token on the blockchain that represents a single, non-fungible asset.
Besides, VinFast is also quick to catch up with market trends when introducing a 3D NFT collection co-designed with House of Kibaa – a famous studio with special NFTs for virtual reality. House of Kibaa is also one of the world’s leading companies participating in the virtual universe (Metaverse).
