Blind player with love for football

Armel’s eye was injured after a collision with an opponent while playing a few years ago. Although he was treated, he could no longer see the light. From that, player 25 years old joined the blind team Côte d’Ivoire.

For the blind, soccer is of course very difficult, but Armel and his teammates are always actively practicing towards winning a ticket to the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France.

If there are enough points in the qualifying round, Côte d’Ivoire will be the first visually impaired team from sub-Saharan Africa to participate in this Olympics.

The immediate goal of this team is to conquer the African blind football championship, scheduled to take place in November next year in Morocco.
