Regarding sanctions, according to the Decree on sanctioning of administrative violations in the field of road traffic and railways (Decree 100/2019/ND-CP), amended and supplemented by Decree 123/2021/ND -CP, a fine of from 100,000 VND to 200,000 VND for motorcyclists and moped drivers who fail to comply with regulations on giving way at intersections. If you commit the above violation, you will be deprived of the right to use your driving license from 2 months to 4 months.

Decree 100/2019/ND-CP stipulates handling of motorcyclists exceeding the prescribed speed. Specifically, motorcyclists and moped operators will be fined from 300,000 VND to 400,000 VND for exceeding the prescribed speed from 05 km/h to less than 10 km/h. The fine increases to VND 800,000 -1,000,000 for driving a vehicle exceeding the prescribed speed from 10 km/h to 20 km/h.

Drivers of motorbikes and mopeds will be fined from VND 4-5 million, deprived of the right to use a driving license for 2-4 months for the following acts: Operating the vehicle over the prescribed speed by more than 20 km/h; Not paying attention to observe, operating the vehicle over the speed limit, causing a traffic accident.

With the behavior of not wearing “helmets for motorcyclists and motorbikes” or wearing “helmets for motorcyclists and motorbikes” without properly fastening the straps when operating or sitting on motorbikes participating in traffic For traffic on the road, the driver will be fined from 400,000 to 600,000 VND.
