Hanoi covid adds 1,425 new cases of COVID-19, this Sunday will vaccinate children from 5-11 years old

Patients are distributed in 280 communes, wards and towns in 30/30 districts, towns. Some districts have recorded many patients during the day such as: Ha Dong (61), Long Bien (48), Gia Lam (39), Hoang Mai (38).

Cumulative number of cases in Hanoi in epidemic 4 (from April 29, 2021) is 1,531,582 cases.

Currently, the whole city still has 135,482 cases of COVID-19 being treated and monitored (decreased by nearly 5,300 cases compared to the previous day), including 521 cases being treated at hospitals; Nearly 140,000 cases are monitored and isolated at home.

Regarding vaccination against COVID-19, health centers of districts, towns and Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported having injected more than 4.3 million booster doses (reaching 93%). In addition, nearly 140,000 boosters were injected by hospitals in the city.

Leaders of Hanoi Department of Health on the afternoon of April 15 confirmed that the capital will deploy COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5-11 from this coming Sunday (April 17). The vaccine to be injected is Moderna.

Hanoi has organized training for medical staff at fixed and mobile injection sites on pre-vaccination screening and management of some post-injection reactions.
