Ho Chi Minh City announced enrollment quotas for 10th grade schools and specialized classes

Specifically, the target Admissions 10th grade of specialized schools, specialized classes for the school year 2022 – 2023 as follows:

For the non-specialized class, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted recruited 180 students, and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted recruited 90 students.

Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, Gia Dinh High School, Nguyen Huu Huan High School and Mac Dinh Chi High School recruit gifted students and regular 10th grade students according to 3 priority aspirations.

Specialized exams include: Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, English, Chinese, Japanese, Informatics.

For students who register for the Informatics exam: Students can choose to specialize in Informatics (students write in Pascal or C/C++) or choose to take the specialized Math exam. The admission quota for the specialized Informatics class consists of 70% for students who choose the specialized subject of Informatics and 30% for students who choose to take the specialized Math exam.

Particularly, the French class at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted will be selected later (select students in the French bilingual program classes that have been accepted by the school).

Eligibility conditions: Students who have graduated from junior high school in Ho Chi Minh City (secondary school graduates from other provinces and cities are eligible to apply for admission to Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted) and have the following additional conditions:

The age of students entering grade 10 is 15 years old. For students who have passed the previous grade at the previous grade level or students who have entered the school at an older age than the prescribed age, the age of entering 10th grade will be reduced or increased based on the age of the previous year of graduation.

Students who are from ethnic minorities, students with disabilities, students with extremely difficult circumstances, and overseas students who return home may enter school at the age of 3 years older than the prescribed age.

Grade 6, 7, 8’s behavior and academic performance for the whole school year from Good or higher. Graduated from High School with Excellence.
