The cafe is located in Hoa Bac commune, nearly 40km from the center of Da Nang to the northwest but still attracts a lot of tourists and young people to visit because of its poetic, peaceful and strange beauty.
Previously, Hoa Bac (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang) was just a small peaceful commune, people lived mainly on agriculture, developing the forest economy.
In recent years, many families and young people tend to travel to experience, seek out remote countryside to enjoy peaceful scenery, enjoy products, and discover new things. Therefore, Hoa Bac is known as a new tourist destination.

Grasping the above trend, Nguyen Quoc Khanh (born in 1993, Nam Yen village, Hoa Bac commune) boldly returned to his hometown to set up a business, opening a unique coffee shop right in the middle of the field to serve tourists.
Khanh said, graduating from high school, Khanh worked as a driver for a travel company in Son Tra district and has been with this job for 7 years. However, when the Covid-19 epidemic broke out, the company stopped working, and Khanh fell into unemployment.

Unemployed, Khanh decided to return to his hometown to live with his family. Also from here, Khanh came up with the idea of opening a cafe as an attractive destination to attract visitors. Business premises do not need to look far but right on the 500m2 field of his house. The cafe was born with the purpose of both earning income, developing tourism, and introducing the beautiful scenery of the homeland.
Gathering capital of 100 million dong, in early April 2021 Khanh started to realize the idea.
“My father and a few craftsmen started working together. The shop only took 10 days to complete and put into operation in April”, Khanh said.

According to Khanh, actually this business model is not new. He has known this model since 2017, when a friend traveled to Thailand and took pictures to introduce.
Although he liked this model very much, it was still just a dream for Khanh because at that time there was no capital, local tourism was still unknown if business would be very difficult.
In recent years, in Hoi An (Quang Nam) there have also appeared a few cafes with a similar model. In Hoa Bac, no one has deployed. While Hoa Bac possesses immense rice fields, peaceful and fresh air, far away are rolling mountains, extremely poetic.
With the desire that the cafe becomes a space to bring people comfortable and relaxing moments, the shop is designed in a rustic, close to nature. The way to the shop is a wooden bridge leading to the huts. Guests can sit and sip drinks while enjoying the natural scenery, rice fields, and lotus ponds.
Away from the city, Khanh’s daily job is to be both a boss, a bartender, and a cashier.
“Leaving the town to return to my hometown, I live near my family, own my time, and enjoy beautiful scenery every day,” said Khanh humorously.
However, the current limitation is that the cafe can only operate from February to October. The rest of the time there are almost no customers due to the influence of rain and storms. According to Khanh, the shop’s monthly profit is about 15 million dong. On peak days, the cafe welcomes about 100-150 guests. The price of drinks here is quite affordable, only about 15,000-30,000 VND.
Sharing about his next plans, Khanh said that in the near future he will also open an overnight camping service. At the same time, developing, consuming and promoting local agricultural products to tourists.
