Mr. Zelensky asks for a huge amount of aid to Ukraine every month

President Volodymyr Zelensky told European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen when she visited Kiev last week that Ukraine needs $7 billion in emergency financial assistance a month.

In addition, the Ukrainian leader shared with von der Leyen the problems Ukraine faces when trying to export grain. In response, the head of the EC said that the EU would apply accelerated border procedures to help Ukraine solve the problem.

On April 7, it was reported that the EU would allocate an additional 500 million euros to Ukraine for military equipment. The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, noted that now the support of the European Union, which has already provided military equipment to Ukraine, will increase to 1.5 billion euros.
