National infection cases decreased by 57% in the first half of the month

The total number of deaths in Vietnam so far is 42,924 cases, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

The number of serious patients being treated is 1,242 cases, down 32% compared to the average of the past 7 days. In which, there were 953 cases of oxygen through a mask, 81 cases of HFNC high-flow oxygen, 54 cases of non-invasive mechanical ventilation, 151 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation, and 3 cases of ECMO.

On April 14, an additional 134,082 doses of vaccine were administered, totaling more than 209 million doses. About 200 Grade 6 students in Quang Ninh were vaccinated against Covid-19, being the first children in the group of 5 to under 12 years old in the country to receive the vaccine, the Ministry of Health did not record any unusual reactions.
