Preparing for post-Covid-19 examination for more than 10,000 employees

The leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor said that the city’s Institute of Ethnic Medicine will check the health of workers here. 500 female workers who had been seriously ill and had to be hospitalized were treated by the rehabilitation hospital. Severely affected workers are arranged to rest and practice at Thanh Da Hotel and Hostel.

Accordingly, the coordinating medical facilities will support part of the cost, the rest will be paid by the trade union with an estimated cost of more than 4 billion VND.

In the 4th outbreak of the epidemic, 110,000 workers and workers of the city were affected, of which many people’s health declined due to Covid-19.

In addition to taking care of workers’ health, in this year’s Workers’ Month, the city’s trade unions are expected to take care of 200,000 people with a budget of about 100 billion VND.

Activities such as selling subsidized goods, giving savings books to workers suffering from occupational accidents, supporting gifts and cash for difficult workers, suffering from serious diseases, losing jobs…

When the 4th epidemic broke out, Ho Chi Minh City’s trade unions had many activities to support workers. Particularly during the last Tet holiday, this unit spent more than 700 billion VND to help disadvantaged workers. Last year, the 4th outbreak of the epidemic, the Labor Confederation spent more than 400 billion VND to help more than 420,000 workers affected by the epidemic.
