University Admission Regulations 2022: New points to note for candidates to firmly hold the ‘ticket’ to university

The university admissions regulation 2022 will have some new points, including a change in the process of registering for the high school graduation exam, applying for admission to universities and colleges that candidates need to pay attention to.

Change priority policy

One content that candidates are interested in in the draft Regulation on university enrollment in 2022 is that the Ministry of Education and Training is expected to adjust the regional priority score (KV). Accordingly, the priority plus points remain unchanged: KV1 is 0.75 points, KV2 – rural areas is 0.5 points and KV2 is 0.25 points. However, the KV priority bonus is only applied to five candidates graduating from high school or intermediate school. Candidates who have graduated from high school when retaking the exam to get the results of university and college admissions are not given priority points (like KV 3).

According to the new regulations, priority points for priority group 1 is 2 points, priority group 2 is 1 point, applied regardless of the year candidates graduate from high school.

Candidates belonging to many categories of policy subjects according to regulations will only be counted with the highest priority score. The priority points are specified corresponding to the total score of 3 subjects (in the combination of examination subjects) on a 10-point scale for each exam subject (without multiplying the coefficient). In case the enrollment method uses a different scale, the priority score will be converted to the same level.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, based on the announced enrollment scheme, schools organize for candidates who are directly recruited to apply online or in person at training institutions. Results are announced before the high school graduation exam.

Recruitment on the system according to the general plan

In 2022, the exam registration and admission will be done online on the portal of the Ministry of Education and Training and the National Public Service Portal.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thu Thu – Director of the Higher Education Department (Ministry of Education and Training), this is to comply with the Government’s direction in providing national public services. The online registration has been tested from previous years and is successful all over the place.

University Admission Regulations 2022: New points to note for candidates to firmly hold the ‘ticket’ to university
In 2022, there are many changes in university admission regulations

However, many people are worried that the extremely large number of applicants do not know the processing capacity of the virtual filter tool and determine the unique admission desire for each candidate.

In addition, this year, the arrangement of aspirations will be in order of priority from the first to the “n” wish, without limiting the number of wishes that candidates want to register. Then the system will filter the general virtual.

This regulation will help candidates to be admitted to their most desired aspirations and in accordance with their ability. Thus, reducing the overall cost of society, reducing the number of virtual contestants.

According to Master Pham Thai Son – director of the Admission Center of the University of Food Industry in Ho Chi Minh City, according to the regulations, candidates who have applied for admission to schools according to the early admission plan must then continue to register to volunteer. Expectations on the system according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training will make it difficult for schools that have implemented autonomous enrollment.

“In case a candidate has been notified by schools that he or she is eligible for admission (except for high school graduation requirements) with a certain desire, the candidate will decide to set the priority order of aspiration when registering on the system (depending on the number of candidates). belongs to candidates who want to be recognized for that aspiration or want to expand their chances of being admitted to another aspiration.) This makes it difficult for schools to be autonomous in enrollment, so this provision should be abolished,” said Master Pham. Thai Son said.

Candidates are not required to confirm early admission

In recent years, universities have applied many enrollment methods (besides graduation exam scores). Therefore, many candidates are notified of their eligibility for admission before they know their final exam scores (required condition). Students can confirm their admission early and complete the admission process when they have enough documents.

However, this year, the draft enrollment of 2022 stipulates that schools are not allowed to ask candidates to confirm their admission earlier than the general schedule of the Ministry, but are only allowed to publish and download the list of eligible candidates. recruited into the system before the high school graduation exam.

Candidates who have applied to schools by early admission method still have to register their aspirations on the Ministry’s system; and will be recognized for admission according to the highest aspirations.

Registering all aspirations by all means on the system is said to help reduce virtual candidates. The Ministry’s system will automatically remove from the list of low aspirations of candidates who have passed the higher aspirations.

Candidates who are admitted by direct admission can confirm their admission early when eligible or according to the general plan like other candidates. Schools are not required to confirm early enrollment. When their admission is not confirmed, they can still use the right to register for admission on the common system to have more chances of being admitted like other candidates.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung – former rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, said: “In previous years, schools required candidates to confirm early admission to fight against falsehoods and set targets that they did not. If the school enrolls for other admission methods, the school will meet the quota and increase the chances of candidates’ admission in the remaining methods.

I think it is enough just to stipulate that universities must upload the list of candidates who have confirmed their early admission to the portal to not be considered for admission at other schools. The ministry also allows students who have been temporarily admitted to continue to choose their aspirations in other methods, increasing the number of virtual candidates and the big risk is that schools will have difficulty in recruiting enough targets in choice 1. .
